The FIve pillars of islam tell what muslims believe and stand for. The five pillars mostly talk about not eating while the sun is up a certain month and giving money to the poor. If this is so, why do you think Muslims are looked at as hostile mean people in today's society?
I believe that Muslims are looked at as hostile today because a few Muslims have taken some of the terms a Muslim is to follow in the wrong path. For example I believe that many have misinterpret the term Jihad and have attacked others even though it wasn't self defense. This why i think Muslims are viewed as hostile.
